This is a WW1 Centenary commemorative production about the sinking of the Lusitania; it is to be performed exactly 100 years to the day it was sunk, when almost 1,200 people were killed. The matinee performance will be ‘to the minute’ of the tragedy…so a poignant moment.
Razed Roof has been supported by Arts Council East to commission a National Theatre playwright, Judith Johnson, to work with us to devise and write the script; and a local musician, Pat Crilly, has been writing music and lyrics especially for this production. (Running time: approx. 1hour)
Harlow Council have provided support for our performances from their WW1 Commemoration Fund. We are also being supported by the Heritage Lottery to develop this project with community groups in community spaces. Other support has come from Hampden Agencies and the Woodroffe Benton Foundation.
