Robert Halfon, MP for Harlow and Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party and Subash Suthar, Business Development Manager for the International Glaucoma Association (IGA) will join the team at Vision Express as they help officially launch the newly refurbished store in the Harvey Centre in Harlow. Subash Suthar will be a special guest from the IGA, which is a nominated charity of Vision Express, with his visit marking the collaboration between Vision Express and the IGA to raise awareness of glaucoma in advance of activity throughout Vision Express stores during 8th to 14th June for National Glaucoma Awareness Week.
Subash Suthar, who is trained in ophthalmology, worked for multinational pharmaceutical companies as a Clinical Specialist before joining the IGA. He helps to create educational programmes for glaucoma patients that allow them to understand the condition and its treatment. He also drives membership programmes for the IGA and gives presentations to specialist nurses at training days. Subash will meet with the Vision Express team, including Harlow’s newest optometrist, who has a Glaucoma certificate and also works at the local eye unit, Princess Alexandra Hospital, dealing with Glaucoma.
Robert Halfon, MP and Subash Suthar will be guests of honour as the Vision Express in Harlow is unveiled, with new facilities and equipment to help deliver an individual and thorough vision care service to the local community. The Harlow store has been on the same site for many years and recently closed for refurbishment. It will re-open with the latest in eye care facilities and equipment.
