The Harvey Centre’s White Christmas Wonderland event on Saturday 19th November was a huge success. The event took place between 11am – 4pm and included a variety of free festive activities for shoppers of all ages to enjoy.
Shoppers stood in amazement at the spellbinding snow globe, which moved around the centre enchanting shoppers of all ages. A beautiful snow queen sat regally inside the globe, encased in her own personal snow blizzard. Shoppers could press a big red button on the globe to trigger a snowfall, as well as festive sound effects. A Christmas Fairy also performed stunning ballet performances for shoppers to admire.
Two sparkling giant snowball sprites on wheels whizzed around the centre in a flurry of excitement throwing handfuls of snow into the air to entertain shoppers and make them feel as though they were walking through a mini snow storm. Snow fairies on stilts also roamed around the centre wowing shoppers with their stilt walking skills. They handed out free chocolates to shoppers including a personal festive message from The Harvey Centre.
An ice queen also floated through the malls with a crystal ball amazing shoppers with her magical juggling skills. In addition, an ice sculpting team showed the public how to transform a block of ice into a piece of Christmas art. The public were lucky enough to take part in the sculpturing – helping to create something really festive and enchanting that were on show in the centre all day. Harvey the Hippo was also present and a balloon modeller, who enchanted the children.
Bryan Young, Centre Manager at The Harvey Centre says, “Saturday’s events really were fantastic. Shoppers absolutely loved the mix of entertainment available and there was a real festive feel throughout the centre all day. The sculptures were particularly unusual and were a real attention grabber stopping people in their tracks. It was the perfect day to kick-off Christmas.”
