Fifteen new jobs have been created with the opening of a new branch of the sandwich chain Subway in Harlow town centre.
The shop, which is located on the first floor of the Harvey Centre, opened its doors for the first time last Wednesday.
It is the second Subway franchise in Harlow and has been opened as part of the shopping centre’s on-going investment in regeneration and transformation.
These include a £9m leisure development called The Terrace which is due to open next year and which will house a six-screen cinema and up to five restaurants.
Harvey Centre manager Bryan Young said: “We’re delighted that Subway has chosen the centre for its second store in Harlow. It not only shows the commitment that companies have in the town but proves that the Harvey Centre is an exciting investment opportunity providing a variety of shops for its visitors.
“Subway has opened in advance of our exciting leisure development line up which is due to be completed at the end of next year.
Further openings this month include an expanded Wilkos and Funky Phones.
