Christmas Extravaganza

Saturday 29th November 2014

On Saturday 29 November, The Harvey Centre will host a Christmas Extravaganza with free activities for all the family.

From 11am to 3pm, visitors can enjoy a range of festive fun – including a Victorian-style show, a ‘hook-a-duck’ stand, a card-making workshop, face painting and balloon modelling.

The Harvey Centre is also host to a magical Christmas grotto. Open every day until Christmas Eve, families can step inside to meet Father Christmas and pose for a photograph (from £4.50) or receive a special gift (from £4.50).

A programme of free events throughout the festive period will include:

  • Mrs Santa’s Kitchen on Saturday 6 December (10.30am to 3pm). Little ones can get hands-on and decorate festive treats such as candy canes and gingerbread.
  • On Saturday 13 December, shoppers are invited to spot and have their picture taken with some very unusual Christmas trees. Free face painting will also be on offer.

Shoppers will be able to take advantage of late night shopping on Thursdays (from 27 November until 18 December) as the centre stays open until 9pm (individual store times vary) – with free parking for all visitors from 3pm until 9pm.

Free seasonal entertainment will also get everyone in the festive mood – with performances by Downs Primary School (4 December), Razed Roof (11 December) and Church Langley Primary School (12 December), plus the Heart 4 Harlow Christmas Celebration, with choir singing, poetry and performances, on 18 December.
